LIEKKI application designer (LAD) is a versatile design tool for fiber applications providing a strong platform for simulating and optimizing fiber amplifiers, amplify spontaneous emission (ASE) sources, and fiber laser systems.
This software is based on precise algorithms that account for all the reflections in the system – especially crucial for accurate laser and ASE light source simulations. The simulation engine also accurately accounts for large mode area and highly doped fibers.
Optimized algorithms and careful design allow us to build LAD on a Microsoft Windows platform without the need of powerful multiprocessor workstations. This approach ensures large accessibility and reduces costs for the end users.
The broad functionality of LAD is possible due to the development of special algorithms:
- Ultra-fast integration for a 3D+1 (space + time) active fiber model
- Accurate calculation algorithm for all reflections in the application (essential for laser simulation)
- Algorithm for implementing the distribution computing
The LAD platform is a flexible design able to adapt to the foreseeable evolutions in the fiber lasers and amplifiers industry:
