Please read carefully the information below to learn how to install and run LAD.
Software prerequisites
To install LAD the following software packages have to be available on you computer:
If these software packages are not available on your computer, please click on the links above to download them. More information about these software packages is available from www.microsoft.com.
If you are not sure if the above mentioned software packages are installed on your computer you can even so start the LAD v3.3 installation (as described in "How to install LAD v3.3"). During the installation process the setup program will inform you if some prerequisites are missing.

How to install LAD v3.3
To install LAD v3.3 please download the setup achive file using the link below:
After downloading, please unzip the LAD v3.3.zip file in a temporary folder and run setup.exe. ATTENTION: for Windows 2000 and XP you need to have the administrator rigths in order to install LAD. Please follow the instructions on the screen. If necessary you will have to install the prerequisites as described above.
TIP: during the installation you will be asked if LAD v3.3 will be installed only for the current user (default) or for everybody using that computer. If you chose to install only for the current user, other users will not have a LAD v3.3 link in the "Start menu" nor on their desktop. However they will be able to run LAD from the installation folder.
After installation
After installing LAD v3.3 as described above, the program will run in DEMO mode. You can always check the running mode of you LAD installation by opening the Help/About window.
In DEMO mode the user interface can be explored and several project files, which can be donwloaded from the links below, can be analyzed:
In DEMO mode the component properties can not be modified and you can not run any simulations. After installing LAD v3.3 in DEMO mode, you can request a 28 days free evaluation license that will allow to use LAD v3.3 at full functionality (please see "How to request a free 28 days evaluation license").
How to request a free 28 days evaluation license
While using LAD v3.3 in DEMO mode you can request a free 28 days evaluation license. For requesting an evaluation license, you have to select "About" in the Help menu. In the Help/About window, please click the "Request evaluation" button and follow the instructions. There are 2 ways to request an evaluation license: online and through email.
If you choose to request an evaluation license online, please make sure that your firewall does not block the internet acces for LAD v3.3 (if necessary, please check with your system administrator). After sending the request, please wait a few seconds, you will receive a confirmation that the evaluation has been sent succesfully. When you have received the confirmation please close LAD v3.3. The next time you start LAD, the program will run in TRIAL mode where you can enjoy its full functionality for 28 days. Please note, that you may receive only one evaluation license.
If you choose to request an evaluation license by email, you have to generate a licensing code (Please view the licensing window for more explanation). Then copy-paste the code in an email message and send to LADsupport liekki.com. You will receive an evaluation license file including instructions by email typically within 24h.
How to upgrade
If you have already purchased a previous version of LAD you can download and install LAD v3.3 as explained above. Additionally, please send an upgrade request to LADsupportliekki.com to receive the corresponding license file. You will receive the new license file typically within 24h.
The upgrade is free for customers having a maintenance agreement. Within the purchase of LAD v3.3 one year maintenance is included. After one year additional maintenance has to be purchased.
Please note that you do not have to uninstall any previous version of LAD (if you have one on your computer).
Also note that you can import projects, which have been developed in LAD v3.0, LAD v3.1 and LAD v3.2 to LAD v3.3. Please contact us if you want to import a project from an older version of LAD to LAD v3.3.

- Windows Installer 2.0 or later
- MDAC 2.5 or later
- .NET Framework 2.0
Hardware requirements:
- Required processor: Pentium 200 MHz*
- Recommended processor: Pentium 1 GHz or faster
- Required RAM: 64 MB*
- Recommended RAM: 256 MB or higher
*Or the minimum required by the operating system, whichever is higher.
